Health Ministry
Maintaining good health and living an active, Christian life are prime concerns
at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Each month our Health Ministry Team makes over 100 contacts in the form of home visits, communion, phone calls, blood pressure checks,
and nursing home visits. They also facilitate a number of other workshops in our
church. Additionally the
Health Ministries team provides help with transportation and provides meal
support after congregational members are hospitalized or otherwise infirmed.
St. Paul Lutheran has an active Prayer Shawl ministry and Seniors
Group.
Blood Pressure Checks
Blood pressure checks are held
at St. Paul Church on the first and third Sundays of each month
after the first service (9:00-10:30).
Visitation and Assessment
Each month all homebound and nursing home
residents are visited by members of the congregation who also serve
communion to them.
Companions in Sharing
Companions in Sharing
is just what the name says...we are fellow parishioners who come together to
share our lives, to talk, to support, to journey along with life's ups and downs.
We feel that we can learn from each other's experiences and realize that we are
not alone. Generally this group is quite "light-hearted" and full of HUGS and
prayer. Companions in Sharing is open to both men and women. It's about
regular life stuff!! Companions in Sharing meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from
12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Please see the
Calendar for
upcoming Companions in Sharing meeting times.
