Youth!
Welcome to the St. Paul Youth page and thanks for stopping by! We hope you find
this page informative and useful and that you'll give us your feedback on ways
we can make the Youth page better and easier to use. You can
e-mail your
comments and suggestions to
Cindy in the St. Paul Church office.
The St. Paul Youth program is designed for students in grades six through 12 and
is run by

There is always something going on for the Youth of St. Paul. Friends are always invited to join us, too!
We have opportunities for fellowship, study, service, and worship. To find out

Youth Study Opportunities
St. Paul Lutheran Church
recognizes that Christian Education is an ongoing, never-ending process, and
that we all have room for growth! St. Paul Lutheran offers its Youth an engaging
Sunday School program, Confirmation, and Summer Bible Study program.
Between Sunday morning services, traditional
Sunday School takes place. Confirmation instruction occurs in the sixth, seventh
and eighth grades on Sunday mornings. Ninth graders have a confirmation
preparation class in which they prepare faith statement projects and design and
implement service projects. This occurs in the months of September and
October. Senior High Sunday School uses the Akaloo curriculum, and is
led by two team facilitators.
Our
Summer (June, July, and August) Bible Study program for Middle School students
meets on Monday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Our Senior High students meet at 9:15
a.m. on Sunday Mornings. Come join us for thought provoking, faith based discussions!
Youth Service Opportunities
St. Paul
Lutheran Church recognizes that because of Jesus Christ's freely given gift
of grace, we give love and service to others. As such, we offer our Youth a
variety of opportunities to serve in Christ's name. These include:
-
Our
Nursery Ministry, where those who are interested in helping in the
nursery during worship can share their gifts.
-
Our
Mission & Outreach Committee, where those interested in Mission &
Outreach, locally, nationally, and internationally, can share their
gifts.
-
The Fox
Valley Community Table. St. Paul Lutheran houses the Community Table, an
organization that provides free lunch twice a week. Those interested in
serving at The Community Table help prepare, serve, and clean up after
meals approximately four times a year. We also package "Care Packages"
which include various paper and toiletry items that are distributed to
clients of The Community Table.
-
The Angel
Giving Tree, where we work in conjunction with the Neenah/Menasha Boys'
and Girls' Brigade to give Christmas presents to needy families.
-
The 30
Hour Famine. World Vision's 30 Hour Famine is an international youth
movement to fight hunger. It brings our youth group closer together as
we raise funds to help feed hungry children. This year we raised
$3,163.35!!!! How cool is that?
-
A yearly
Mission Trip. This year we are traveling to New Orleans, the Pine Ridge
Reservation in South Dakota, and Hepatha Lutheran Church in inner-city
Milwaukee.
Youth Worship
Opportunities
The Youth of St. Paul Lutheran
Church are encouraged to assist in worship by serving as acolytes, crucifers,
usher shadows, communion assistants, cantors, and lectors. For more information on any of
these areas, please visit the
Worship
Assistance page of our site.
The Youth also play a vital
role in our Music Ministry. Youth can sing in a vocal choir and/or play in the
handbell choir. Additionally, the Soul Lift team is comprised of Youth and leads
the singing in approximately one service per month. For more information on
these opportunities, please visit the
Music page of our
site.
