Sanctuary & Handbell Choirs

Our Sanctuary and Handbell Choirs take an active role in helping to lead worship at St. Paul Lutheran. God has blessed us each with special gifts and we use them to his glory!  If you are interested in one of our musical ensembles please consider giving it a try!  Don't worry, you don't need to have the best voice or the strongest music-reading skills in order to be an important part of either group. An open mind and a willingness to learn go a long way!  We will take you under our wings and help you feel welcome, whether this is your first time in an ensemble or you are experienced in ensemble music-making.

Our Sanctuary Choir practices on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. and helps to lead worship on most Sundays.  The choir is open to interested people in 8th grade or above.

Our Handbell Choir practices on Thursday evenings from 6:15 - 7:30 p.m and participates in worship about once per month.  Ringing handbells has more to do with rhythm and timing than it does about reading the complete musical score.  We are open to individuals with at least a beginning level of rhythm reading skills and will be happy to teach you the ringing techniques.

Soul Lift

Soul Lift is the St. Paul Praise Band. We are a group of musicians (instrumentalists and singers) who help to lead worship about every five weeks. There are drums, guitars, bass, piano and keyboard (and, occasionally an added instrument such as flute or violin/viola). Instead of the usual printed bulletin, all words to the songs and all liturgy are printed up on a screen for all to see. Printed music may also be found in binders for those who prefer.  Note that during COVID Soul Lift is meeting on a very limited basis. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining Soul Lift.
